In recent years, it is a fact that people have to pay for archaeological and tourist attractions. While there are some positive influences in this fashion, I still believe that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.
On the one hand, there are some advancements in charging entrance fees. Firstly, taking fees can generate revenues to pay for other activities such as water, rent,…. In addition, this money can be used to preserve these archaeological sites and advertising to promote and attract visitors overseas about these archaeological unique . In addition, taking an entrance fee will help people raise awareness about heritage sites’ culturals values. For example, thanks to paying entrance fees, visitors will understand the crucial importance of preserving heritage cultural values, and encourage their respectation in protection and conservation of ancient objects and heritage sites.
On the other hand, charging entrance fees also has some negative impact on visitors and the environment. Firstly, taking entrance fees will instill visitors in announcements and decrease visitors' enjoyment mood. It is evident that nobody likes paying entrance fees and they tend to like something available, charging travelers entrance fees will make them frustrated and they might never come back to explore and enjoy these areas anymore and the revenues to preserve and develop archaeological sites will be affected. Furthermore, following the profit by taking entrance fees will lead to environmental issues. For instance, due to this fashion, people have to encourage and promote overseas visitors to increase the income and overcrowding of visitors and tours will lead to environmental issues such as wasting litter, damaging ancient crucial objects and facilities and other pollutants.
In conclusion, while there are some advancements in charging visitors entrance fees, I would side with the opposite view because of the reasons I mentioned above.
