Investing in art and culture that are creating the unique distinctiveness of national identities and contributing to diversity of intangible cultural heritage of humanity, while sciences funded by the government that satisfies modern life is fast-paced and constantly changing nowadays. In this essay, I will discuss both of the assertions above.
To begin with, some citizens believe that the government should spend a good amount on art and culture as a way to promote the intangible cultural heritage of a nation which is popular worldwide. Therefore, the government pays numerous funds to art and culture to attract the attention of travelers to come to their own nation to visit that bring benefits to improve the economy. For instance, in Viet Nam, Son Đoong cave in Quang Binh province is the largest cave found ever in the world which was recorded by Unesco. The cave attract a huge quantity of visitors to the discovery which contributes to the economy of the country and spreads the cultural heritage.
On the other hand, as the era has developed, some individuals assert that science attaches special importance and worth the substantial investment. Additionally, the great contribution of health science plays an important role in human beings. As a result, Sciences deserves a fund from the government which is also a resource to purchase progressive equipment to serve research goals. For example, in covid-19 pandemic, due to a good paying of the government for science health which gives chances for the scientists and also they work hard day and night to investigate the vaccines that fights with the reaper to keep alive for patients around the world.
To sum up, I sincerely believe that the government should allocate investment in science as it is a substantial part to keep people away from diseases and protect human life. But in order to grow the economy, certain factors must be taken into consideration as maintaining and enhancing artistic and cultural treasures.
