With the advancement of life, people tend to choose unhealthy foods for their major meals. The aim n of this essay is to discuss benefits of this trend and also analyze its possible drawbacks.
On the one hand, there are a range of merits for preferring to eat junk foods. The most obvious one is that fast dishes bring a delicious feeling for eaters. This can be explained by the fact that these foods are so diverse in color, form and flavor which make people feel excited and attractive when they enjoy them, especially the young generation. So they could help people reduce stress and create a sense of happiness as well as relaxation. Another upside of this phenomena is junk foods are a great choice to save a large amount of time.
This is due to the fact that individuals can order these dishes within a few minutes instead of cooking at their home.
Despite the above mentioned advantages, eating fast foods also has some disadvantages.
To begin with, they are a big threat to people’s health. This means that these dishes always contain high sugar and levels of calories which cause heart, blood and kidney disease. For example, there is a rapid increase in the number of Vietnamese people, specially the young in recent years, who are suffering from kidney disease, which are mainly caused by unhealthy foods with high sugar, oil and chemicals. Besides, the ingredients and spices are added during preparation and cooking are perhaps not guaranteed about quality and origin, even they are reused many times like cooking oil. As a result, this might lead to negative impacts on the eater's digestion.
In short, eating take away foods can be both advantageous and disadvantageous. However, it seems to me that the demerits of fast foods are more significant than its merits
