Nowadays, remote working and learning are likely to become trending as technology has been more affordable and approachable. From my perspective, I suppose this could bring about both upward and downward changes.

On the bright side, the transition to home working and learning can improve health because it allows people to have more time taking their health. Instead of spending hours commuting from home to office or shool, they could have more time to sleep, prepare meals by themselves, or do exercises. In a recent research on the impact of remote working, it has been found that workers tend to feel less stressed and have lower blood pressure when changing from onsite to online working. Additionally, this might partly address housing issues in central areas. If people do not have to go into the office or school, it can be acceptable to live further away, in less overheated parts of the country, where the demand for accommodation is likely to be lower. At that time, owning a house seems to be more attainable.

On the dark side, the shift to remote working and learning can lead to the lack of social connection when colleagues and classmates might have less opportunities to participate in face-to-face activities as having lunch, gossiping. As a result, this can lead to mental health problems when people might feel isolated and lonely. Moreover, this trend might cause counterproductiveness. It is because that remote workers or learners might be less under time pressure, which can lead to delay timing to complete a task.

In conclusion, the booming of cuting edge technology has contributed to the trend of home working and education, which having both pluses and drawbacks.
