Recently, pupils’ conduct has stood out to be one of the most serious issues facing educational institutions. This essay will delve into the unpleasant atmosphere from family as the root cause of this phenomenon and suggest that enhancing school’s support and parental responsibilities are viable solutions.
The primary reason for students encountering problems in moral behaviors at school is poor parental discipline. These days, when parents are preoccupied with work responsibilities, they may not have sufficient time to supervise their children’s manners closely. Consequently, this has resulted in lack of guidance and monitoring of children, letting them freely rebel against regulations to teachers. Another contributing factor from family is domestic violence. Specifically, offspring may often witness or experience domestic abuse and imitate those rude gestures from adults. For example, pupils who come from dysfunctional families tend to exhibit symptoms such as increased aggression or bullying towards peers.
To mitigate this tendency, schools can play a vital role in providing additional support services for students with behavioral problems. This is evident in more than 50% of Vietnamese schools that have implemented psychological counseling rooms in order to help students express their difficulties they have confronted at home. Therefore, teachers are able to connect with parents or even call in police if the children’s situations are too nerve-racking. Additionally, it is also parental duties that they should rearrange their working schedules efficiently such as telecommuting or job sharing. These options, thus, enable them to devote more time for childcare to instill value of respect and civility for their offspring. .
In conclusion, the negative behavior of students derive from family’s inadequate care. Therefore, not only should schools offer assistance for students but parents should also rearrange their working hours to spend time with their children.
