Nowadays, many adults choose to live with their parents. Do the advantages outweigh the
disadvantages
In this day and age , living with parents even after an individual enters adulthood has become a
prevalent trend. In this essay, I will evaluate both pros and cons before concluding that the
drawbacks outweigh the benefits.
On the one hand , one major advantage of living with parents despite being a mature person is
saving a large amount of money. Nowadays, the world's population increases dramatically leading to
a high demand for housing but the availability of land is limited. Because of insufficient land to meet
people's needs , the cost of housing grows up greatly stemming from the great value of land which
makes it challenging for those having a lower income to buy their houses to live in. In contrast,
people who live with their parents do not need to struggle with this problem; moreover, they can
also save a large amount of money as they do not need to buy houses and sharing meals can help
them to decrease their living expenses. Therefore, some adults choose to live with parents until they
become financially stable so they can enter the world with enough resources to sustain themselves
and their families
On the other hand, the phenomenon of living with parents has several disadvantages. One
significant drawback is that people who do not live far from their parents can not be independent. In
the real world setting there are many obstacles that individuals have to overcome, by the time one
can do it by themselves, it means that they have boosted their strength. For instance, people who
manage to buy their own houses are often put under pressure to work harder and try their best to
earn as much money as they can, their efforts can boost their life skill when they have to deal with
big issues and be a key point for their success Those living with parents often lack these experiences
as they are supported by parents the whole time; therefore they do not know how to tackle their
issues by themselves and can not be independent in their life.
In conclusion, while this tendency offers significant benefits such as helping people save money, it
also presents challenges like lack of independence. Although this trend has both pros and cons, I
think that the drawbacks of it outweigh its positive aspects.
