Does Internet need to be controlled by the government?
I totally agree with the idea that the Internet must be managed by the government for multiple reasons.
First, we need to consider that the backbone of the Internet is a huge machine systems with a numerous number of streamlines, so to run it effectively and stable, there is a need for the government to participate in the work. By these big resources and valuable experience in managing and controlling complex and enormous society, they will bring a different viewpoints which is essential to make the whole system run better. For example, we can witness the frequent of the shark biting the line under the sea, which lead to the loss and reduction in Wifi connection through a broad range of users. If not been the authorship together with their workers to fix the system quickly, we needed to suffer the gigantic losses as a consequence of this event.
Secondly, I firmly believed that if we don’t have the participation of the government, a lot of citizen will choose not to use the Internet due to its lack of safety. It is the fact the our society is stable and developing mainly due to the establishment in the laws and managements from the governments. And the Internet, which has the unlimited potential to deeply affect and change our lifestyle, if it is not controlled by a creditable system like the govern, will not be used and trusted since we can not ensure its quality and trustworthy. Some examples we can we can take into account like the bloom of fake news, Deepfakes, bank fraud, etc. as the development of the Internet, which lead to lots of citizen becoming a victim of these illegal actions.
In short, the enrollment and management of the government must be considered as one of the most essential factor in the total aspects of the Internet to make sure it is good for the society.
