It is widely acknowledged that in some regions, the divorce rate has significantly escalated over time, especially in developed countries. In this essay, I will elaborate on the reasons why before arriving at some suggestions to mitigate this challenge.
To begin with, the foremost cause for the rise in divorce rate over the past few years would be that the success of women overshadows that of men. In the fast-paced world, women of today can be promoted to higher positions and gain lucrative income in their professions. Therefore, it is understandable why husbands may have a sense of being inferior to women who are more successful than them in career paths, lacking confidence may lead to conflicts between spouses. Secondly, another cause worth mentioning is communication issues will be a result of misunderstanding in the long run. For instance, if married couples had little misinterpretation, they were prone to experience a long-running dispute and disrespect for each other. Such behavior could ultimately lead to the dissolution of their marriage.
Given the aforementioned factors, the following steps should be taken to address this challenge. First, I contend that we should consider effective solutions such as showing respectful attitude to others. The reason is that the senses of empathy, understanding and appreciation are key contributors to encourage them to bring a sense of contentment, and further reduce the distance between couples. Additionally, complimenting each other on small and big things on a daily basis could foster a culture of gratitude in their marriage. Not only do these measures cultivate healthier relationships, but also prevent them from confrontation in married life.
In conclusion, low self-esteem in males and interaction issues between couples contribute to damage in family bondings and connections. However, if couples devote their quality time to understand as well as appreciate each other, the issue can be alleviated to a great extent.
