Opinion as to differ whether it is better to host an international sport event or it is a waste of money. Personally, I do think both views are reasonable as each has its own merits. In this essay, both perspective will be discussed, and I will also provide my own opinion.

Hosting a global event attracts visitors from around the world, leading to increased business for local hotels, restaurants, and shops. This surge in tourism can provide a significant economic boost to the host nation. Furthermore, these events offer a unique opportunity for cultural advertising, allowing the host country to showcase its culture, history, and traditions on a global stage. This exposure can enhance the country’s image and attract future investments and tourists. Additionally, hosting such events generates employment opportunities in various sectors, including construction, hospitality, security, and event management, which can contribute to reducing unemployment and boosting the local economy.
