Whilst some people contend that it is wiser to enter the workplace after school to earn money and financially support their families, others argue that students should attain a Bachelor’s Degree, facilitating their career ladders later. This essay will closely examine both perspectives before presenting my final thought.
On the one hand, getting a job immediately after high school can encourage financial independence and expand career advancement through work experience. By entering the workforce early, juveniles could become more independent since they can earn their own income, facilitating their lives without reliance on their families. Additionally, professional experience is an important factor to career promotion. Many jobs, such as electrician or machinery operator, prefer seasoned employees since their experience can foster productivity and workflow. Nonetheless, proponents of this opinion overlook the potential for job insecurity. This is due to the fact that there are fewer high-remunerating occupations that do not require educational certificates, such as doctor or lawyer which a Bachelor's degree is a mandatory requirement, leaving students vulnerable to unemployment risks and jeopardizing their future prospects.
On the other hand, embarking on higher academic pursuits can be beneficial for teenagers for several reasons First, education serves as a cornerstone in endowing learners with the requisite knowledge and essential skills for their prospective career endeavors, thereby increasing their chances of securing well-paying jobs. Second, those who have higher qualifications can have a significant advantage in the fiercely competitive job market that favors skilled and educated employees. Google, for instance, only employs competent and educated individuals, offering them lucrative remuneration. Hence, it is crucial for students to commit to advanced studies, supporting their employment pathways.
