Some people think that the best way to solve global environmental problems is to increase the cost of fuel. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is considered by some that increasing the fuel cost is regarded as the most potential way to get to grips with global environmental issues. From my point of view, I entirely disagree with this statement, and I will give some examples to explain.
On the one hand, raising the cost of fuel is one of the potential ways to tackle environmental obstacles all over the world. First and foremost, the more colossal the people’s demand for private transport is, the more fossil fuel people harness. This can lead a large amount of fuel to being depleted severely. Hence, the increase in fossil fuel cost can minimize the use of private vehicles which is becoming more and more ubiquitous in the world nowadays. Another reason is that the growth of the cost of fuel can lessen the amount of greenhouse gas released from industrial factories. To illustrate, many industrial factories all over the world take advantage of fossil fuel so that they produce petrol or other products, which leads to releasing a large amount of hazardous gas destroying the ozone layer.
On the other hand, there are some other solutions, or effective measurements, to deal with environmental hindrances around the world nowadays. To begin with, people can plant a colossal number of green trees, the lungs of the Earth, so as to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide in the environment. For instance, governments and other organizations launch many campaigns that individuals should plant many trees on the streets or around their homes. The other effective method to solve the environmental problems is that citizens can use renewable resources such as solar energy, wind energy and that sort of thing to create electricity in lieu of fossil fuel. Nowadays, many factories all over the world raise their awareness of the demerits of using fossil fuel to create electricity. Thus, they use wind, sun, water and something like that to dwindle the amount of greenhouse gas into the environment.
In conclusion, undeniable as it is that the increase in the fossil fuel cost is one of the ways to solve global environmental hindrances, there are an eclectic mix of other effective methods to get to grips with these problems.
