In the future, nobody will buy printed newspapers or books because they will be able to read everything they want online without paying. To what extend do you agree or disagree with this statement?
It is argued that printed newspapers or books will become less popular because people can go online to read whatever they want with no (without) cost. This essay disagrees with that statement as online contents (content) usually have (has) limited access, and there are certain types of books that are not published online.
Firstly, people are usually required to pay a certain amount of money to read the full content of what they need. The free contents (free content) that websites or electronic book poviders (book providers) offer their readers are normally just the introduction or the first part of a writing (a text). The rest of that writing (the text) will be hidden unless the readers proceed to pay for a (a membership) fee or to buy the writing’s (its) electronic version. For example, some electronic book providers such as Amazon Kindle and Kobo have their own online bookstores where readers can read a certain number of free books or a few free pages, but they will have to make a purchase for the latest books or the premium contents (content).
Secondly, most of copyright books (copyrighted books) are not available on the internet. Copyright books (material) is considered as (to be) the intellectual propery (property) of book’s (books') authors, which must not be shared freely without their written permissions (permission). The free copies of these books that people sometimes find online are often illegal copies with poor quality or even fake contents (fake content), which annoys the readers more than gives them what they need (is more frustrating than useful for readers). With strict laws to protect book authors’ copyright, these fake copies will also less likely to be seen (also be less likely seen) in the future.
In coclusion (conclusion), printed newspaper or book (newspapers and books) will still play an important role in people’s lives as online premium contents (content) cost them (cost) money and they are not able to read books with copyright reserved freely (copyrighted books freely) on the internet.
