To achieve paramount milestones in sport industry, some sportsman is encouraged to solely focus on intensive physical ability. However, a school of thought opines that mental stability has its value on the success of many athletes. This essay aims to discuss both view and elucidate my stance that a balance between physical and mental abilities should be stroked by each competitor to have their own achievement in sporting field.
On the one hand, physical strength evokes numerous favorable conditions for sportspeople to have effective training. Notably, every type of sport requires specific level of durability and inner strength to complete the task, thereby if the physical strength is in limited condition, sport trainers will not meet the requirement of the coach and their personal aims. For example, every football match happens around 90 minutes, which means players have to carry out intensive actions and movements. In this case, without physical stability, people do not have adequate energy to fulfill the match requirement.
On the other hand, mental attitude is of importance for every trainer to have successful occupation. Having sound sportive attitude, athletes can boost their motivation for hardcore training programs, which are inordinately difficult or even dangerous. For example, marathon players have to compete others in long distance, if they show their weakness in spirit and lack of competing motivation, they will definitely lose the game because this type of sport requires outstanding endurance and hard works. Moreover, in every corner of life contains disappointments and professional sport industry is not an exception, thereby having thinking strength voices its importance whenever failures appear in sportsman’s career.
In conclusion, although physical endurance is said to have its unique role to play in the success of every trainer, mental strength also demonstrates its indispensable function in every milestone of sportsman. From my perspective, reaching a plateau in both physical and mental ability is pre-requites before any success in professional sport field, because human’s ability is combined by both our hands and minds.
